Flock Competition 2010
The Highland Area Texel Sheep Club held their annual flock competition
recently with Mr. Robert Laird, Cambwell Farm, Stirling acting
as judge. The competition took place over two days with Mr. Laird
accompanied by the Chairman, Mr. Ian Campbell and Vice Chairman
Mr. David Coli travelling around 350 miles to complete the judging
of seventeen flocks. They once again had a Carcase Competition
which was held at John Munro & Sons, Dingwall and judged by
Mr William Waugh. The awards for both competitions were presented
at a Dinner/Dance held in The Royal Hotel, Tain.
Winners of the Flock Competition were –
The Best Overall Flock and the Runachloie Trophy was won by
Johnnie

The Reserve Overall Flock was won by
Charles & Isobel Angus,

The Hillside Trophy for the Overall pen of Ewe Lambs was won by

1st Prize and the Linglass Trophy was won by
