Good quality ram lambs enjoyed a very brisk, but selective, trade
with a high proportion achieving prices in the 400 – 800gn
range, including many destined for the Orkney & Shetland Islands.
The most successful sire was the 2011
“Sire of the Year”, GLENSIDE
RAZZLE DAZZLE (FPG1000055) who had three sons break the 1,000gn
mark, two from the INSCH flock and one from the STRATHBOGIE flock
respectively.
Sale Champion was BIRNESS
SCOTTIE (SGE1100325) by GLENSIDE
OFFICER (FPG081268), from George Stuart, which sold for 1,100gns.
Clearance rate was 80% with buyers showing little appetite for
the poorer quality lambs on offer.
