Llandovery – South Wales Texel
Club Show & Sale
Cennen tops at four figures
A top price of 1,000gns was the highlight of a very polarised
trade at the South Wales Club sale at Llandovery on the 2nd of
September. Sold to local commercial farmer Emlyn Morgan, Myddfai,
Llandovery by Hywel Thomas (Cennen) and was also placed reserve
champion in the show by Club vice chairman John Hardwicke (Abercrychan)
with his shearling Wydden Rambo purchased at Ruthin last year.
Rambo is by Knock On (an embryo brother to Oregano) and is out
of an Anglezarke dam by Haddo Knoxie. Rambo also sired the top
price ram lamb for Hywel at 700gns.
