DUNGANNON FARMERS MART
SATURDAY 13th SEPTEMBER 2003
WARNOCK RAM LAMB 1100GNS IN DUNGANNON Strong demand from commercial flock owners
ensured Ulster Texel breeders ended their final Dungannon sale of the
season on a high on Saturday, September 13th 2003. Trade was much improved
on the same event last year with a virtual total clearance as bidders
from the mainland and Irish Republic helped see many rams sold for
over 400gns, mainly into commercial flocks. Top price of the day was 1100gns paid
for Limavady father and son Stanley & Martin
Warnock’s unplaced ram lamb sired by Castlecalm Ion Rocket out of a Clougher
Flyer daughter. The Provita Champion and best ram lamb from
Martin and Cyril Millar of Coleraine made 800gns. Other leading ram lamb prices for lots sold
as far afield as Sligo included;
Sharon Bothwell, Maguiresbridge 500gns, James Morgan, Jerrettspass 450gns,
Victor Chestnutt, Bushmills, 550gns, and 600gns twice. R I Strawbridge, Coleraine
420gns,
480gns, H Gamble, Bangor, Co. Down 600gns, 580gns JK Currie, Ballymena 440gns,

600gns, M & J Watson, 480gns, 400gns, 420gns, A Elliott, Cookstown 420gns,
