Both leading prices came from the first exhibitor into the sale ring, John Forsyth of the Glenside flock based at Maybole, Ayrshire with a pair of shearling gimmers. The first was a February born group 2 Loosebeare Imp sired daughter out of Glenside His Nibs bred mother. The second entry was a substitute which was withdrawn from the ring but sold later also at 1,500gns. The successfully purchaser of both sheep was Winter Bros Farmers Ltd, of Clickham Farm, Appleby-in-Westmorland.
The next top price was 700gns which came from the Stainton flock of local breeder Peter Woof of Storth End Farm, Kendal. This May born gimmer. A daughter of Stainton Inherit and coming from an Annan bred mother, she sold in lamb to 10,000gn ram Skiddaw Lion. She went to RE & DR Jones of Cefncaerferch, Pwllheli. Show Results
