Sultan tops Lanark at 4000gns
Culter Allers topped the sale with Sultan (MBC1101092) a mid February
born son of Tullagh Pacha (CJT09001) placed 3rd in the show, this
breedy looking ram travels up to the north of Scotland to join the
flocks of Oldfield and Wester Moy. Another top sale followed when
they sold a member of the 1st prize pen of 3, a son of Cowal Powerhouse (CKC09911) to Didcot for 2100gn.
Milnbank Sgt Pepper (LYM1100426)
sold for the 2nd top price on the day at 2600gn this was achieved
for massive son of Razzle Dazzle (FPG1000055) out of a dam by Ettrick
No Limits (GGH07098) which stood 1st at the RHAS as a gimmer; he
goes to work for the Ettrick and Annan flocks.
A Kennedy, Mitchellhill,
followed this with a sale at 2200gn for Mitchellhill Seve (KJM1100071)
the 5th prize son of Glenside Ring a Ding (FPG1000054), this was
a twin to the ram he sold at the Premier sale for 4200gns with his
dam being a former Res Champ at Biggar Show, signing the cheque for
this flashy lamb were the Gibb family from Rusha.
David Gray sold
Tima Skype (GCT1101307) for 2000gn to Donny Allan, Ballochneck, for
his money he bought an ET son of Knock Reebok (HAK1000041) out of
the top breeding ewe in the Ettrick flock; Skype is an ET brother
to the 6000gn Ettrick Smasher (GGH1101110) and a maternal brother
to Rainbow Warrior (GGH1000041).
At 1800gn J Sinclair, Crookston,
bought a top muscle scanning ram, coming third in the show Cambwell
Shergar (LTC1100559) is a son of Cambwell Rankin (LTC1000088) from
the very successful Cambwell Flock, the dam having been purchased
from Crawfordjohn.
Recouping his outlay was Society Chairman Gordon
Gray when he sold Ettrick Supersonic (GGH1101191) to young Greg Gillespie
from Campbelltown, at 1600gn he gets a late March born son of Claybury
Rider (DHL1000128) out of Rainbow Warriors (GGH1000041) dam (GGH08027).
Supersonic is also a maternal brother to Tima Skype (GCT1101307).
Not
far behind came two sales at 1400gn, firstly for the pre sale champion
from Richard Wood, Kingledores Scallywag (WRK1100038), this Ring
a Ding (FPG1000054) son joins the Nochnary Flock of D McKerrow and
sons, also at this money was Garngour Scapegoat (CJN1100825) by the
homebred Rembrandt (CFT1000185)out of an Annan Bred ewe (JKA08011).
Messer’s
Green, Craggs Farm, Lilliesleaf, struck it lucky when they sold their
1st ever Texel, Greenall Stan the Man (GFX110009) for 1100gn to
A Allison, Easton, Dunsyre. This was achieved for a son of Mitchellhill
Paparazzi (KJM09015) out of a Summerwood bred foundation ewe. |
