This was a twin-born daughter of Clougher President, BGS1000079, out of a dam by Mellor Vale Krugerand, from Charlie Boden’s Sportsman’s flock, Cheshire. She sold carrying twins to 25,000gns sire Milnbank Special One, a tup bought by Mr Boden in partnership with Martin and Cyril Millar at Lanark in September. Having stood champion in the pre-sale show this one was bought by David and Thomas Bradley Farmer for their Meon Down flock, Hampshire. Second top call of the day was a 2000gns for the best from Peter Woof’s Stainton flock. This was an ET bred Fachell On Approval daughter, WPS1000064. She is out of a dam by Cambwell Mountain and sold in-lamb to Carran Southern Star. She went to an undisclosed North Yorkshire buyer. Next best price of the sale was the reserve champion from the pre-sale show, this time a gimmer from David, Isla and Lisa Gray’s Tima flock, Selkirk. This one, GCT1000323, is by Springwell Kermit and out of a dam by Baltier Glory and sold with an index of 181. A full ET sister to 7000gns tup Tima Look @ Me, this one was sold
in lamb to Ettrick Sir Alan, a retained son of Knock Reebok and
was taken home by Steve, Sherry and Adam Richardson for the Stonebridge
flock, Barnsley. Averages; 15 senior ewes £345.10, 106 gimmers £514.40, five ewe lambs £462 (Marshalls).
