Texel aged ewe wins sheep interbreed at East of England Show

Having won the Texel breed championship under judge Charlie Boden, Henry and Tina Ashley's aged ewe (AHL07090) from their Lincs flock took the Continental and overall interbreed sheep championship title under judge Mr J Aitken, Co Down, at the East of England Show.

This was the first time out for the ewe which stood unbeaten when shown as a shearling ewe. By Meinspride Lord, she is one of 50 ewes run by the father and daughter partnership.

The ewe will next appear at Lincoln Show next week.
