Taking the Texel championship at this week's Royal Highland Winter
Fair, and with it the Francis Brown Perpetual Challenge Trophy, were
a pair of lambs from the Hall family, Inglewood Edge, Carlisle. These
92kg pair are by Coniston Naughty But Nice, a tup bred by Jennifer
Aiken and are out of homebred Beltex cross ewes.
Reserve Texel champions were a pair of 88kg lambs from Richard and
Granville Colegrave, Inchture, Perthshire. These are by a homebred
pure tup which goes back to Wiston lines and are also out of Beltex
cross ewes.
