Devon Show

The sun shining, the highest entries of Texels ever plus
the attendance of the Society Chairman, Gordon Gray and Vice Chairman,
Nick Tavernor, were all the ingredients needed for an excellent
Devon County Show.
Robert Cartledge, our judge, had his work cut out with 20 plus
entries in most classes. But with his mind on the job (and refreshments
supplied by John). His conclusion of the day was great news for
the Loosebeare Flock who very nearly swept the board had it not
been for the Peacehay Flock winning the shearling ram class (CFP1000174).

Thanks to a few of our stalwart committee members an
informal sandwich and cake lunch was provided to all which was
gratefully received thank you. Whilst enjoying lunch a local
commercial buyer commented to me he would be more than happy
to take any of the sheep in the line up home (ram class)! A great
positive for all competitors showing and the Texel breed.
